About Moeicons

Moeicons: Open-Source Frontend Icon Library

Moeicons is built around the practical needs of frontend projects: consistent names, a shared grid, configurable SVG output, and tools that can live in your repository.

5,540 icons and growing

Moeicons has 5,540 icons covering navigation, editing, media, devices, files, communication, and product states. The collection continues to grow from real interface needs rather than stopping after a single release.

Four free open-source style groups

The four free groups are Outline, Lite Outline, Solid, and Colored. Outline suits clear line-based interfaces, Lite Outline is lighter, Solid adds emphasis, and Colored uses colour for state and categorisation. All four share semantic IDs, so ui-search can switch styles without changing its meaning.

SVG configuration for frontend work

Moeicons uses a consistent 24x24 grid, supports currentColor for fill colour, and lets projects control stroke width where the style calls for it. Shared viewBox rules, names, and geometry make the icons suitable for CSS, Tailwind CSS, themes, and components.

CLI and plugins simplify integration

Alongside browser search, copy, and download, Moeicons provides a CLI and plugin tooling. Developers can select project icons, generate local components, and work with the library in a workflow closer to their editor and codebase.
